Cement-based modified polymer adhesive mortar used for bonding high-strength and movement-resistant Thermal Insulation Boards with chemical additives.
Surface Preparation
- The hardness, water absorption, and integrity of the surface to be applied should be checked beforehand. Any voids and areas needing repair on the surface should be repaired with repair mortar "REPAIRVOX 15R".
- The surfaces to be plastered should be cleaned of dust, dirt, debris, oil, etc.
Application
- No foreign materials should be added.
- The areas to be applied should be repaired.
- The prepared mixture is applied based on whether the surface to which the board will be adhered is level or not. If the surface is smooth and level, the mortar is combed completely on the back of the board and slid into place.
- If there are irregularities on the surface to be insulated, mortar is applied to the four edges of the board using the spot method, and three spots are applied to the center.
- Plaster application can be done at least 24-36 hours after the bonding process, depending on weather conditions.
- At least 40-45% of the thermal insulation board should be applied with adhesive on the back of the board. After the thermal insulation board contacts the wall, it should be slightly slid to ensure better adhesion of the mortar, and leveled with a screed to ensure straightness.
- Boards should be laid starting from the bottom of the surface in a staggered manner.
- The thickness of the board used, whether the surface is smooth or not, and the application method are important for dowel selection.
- Six dowels are used per board: four at the corners and two in the middle. The number of dowels may be increased depending on the height of the application and the facade condition of the building.
- Residential buildings, shopping centers, hospitals,
- Vertical and horizontal applications in indoor and outdoor environments,
- Foundation insulation and retaining walls,
- In facilities such as spas and baths,
- On all types of mineral surfaces,
- In terraces (provided they are protected), applied for thermal insulation in engineering structures.
- Used for bonding all types of thermal insulation boards applied to interior and exterior facades.
6-7 liters of clean water is poured into a mixing container, and the powder component is gradually added while mixing until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. A low-speed mixer should be used for mixing. Mixing at high speed prevents achieving a homogeneous consistency. After waiting for a 5-minute maturation period, the mixed mortar is ready for use.
- The material should be mixed with a mixer that has a maximum of 120 revolutions.
- Avoid application below +5°C and above +35°C.
- After application, protect from direct sunlight, strong winds, high temperatures (+35°C and above), rain, and frost.
- Do not add powder to mortar that has exceeded its usage period.
- It is recommended to use latex gloves during product application.
- The product should not be inhaled directly. Dust masks should be used if necessary.
- Products should be stored in places out of reach of children.
- Consult doctors if necessary.
- R38 Irritates skin.
- R41 Risk of serious eye damage Contains Chromium VI. Allergic reactions may occur.
- R43 May cause sensitization by skin contact.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- S22 Do not breathe dust.
- S24/25 Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
- S26 In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
- S37/39 In case of ingestion, seek medical advice immediately.
