FLOORVOX 503

FLOORVOX 503

Corundum & Quartz Aggregate Surface Hardener

Packaging
25 kg kraft bag
Application area
In indoor and outdoor areas, industrial facility floors
Consumption
4-6 kg/m²

A powder surface hardener applied to fresh concrete surfaces, consisting of cement, hard corundum and quartz aggregates, chemical additives, special coloring pigments, and polymer additives.

Features

  • Contains Corundum & Quartz
  • Resistant to dust lifting.
  • Durable against hard impacts.
  • High freeze-thaw resistance
  • Resistant to chemicals.
  • Improved micro-crack resistance

Surface Preparation

  • The hardness, water absorption, and integrity of the surface to be applied on fresh concrete should be checked in advance. Any voids and areas requiring repair should be fixed with repair mortar "REPAIRVOX 15R" beforehand.
  • The surface must be free of all types of additives and dust.
  • The surface of the fresh concrete to be applied should be leveled with a wooden trowel.

Areas of Use

  • In indoor and outdoor areas,
  • On industrial facility floors,
  • In hangars and workshops,
  • In garages and parking lots,
  • In warehouses,
  • In loading and unloading areas,
  • In areas exposed to rubber-wheeled vehicle traffic.
  • Used in many areas such as shopping centers and exhibition areas with high human traffic.

Application

  • It is very important that the surface is clean and smooth before application. Otherwise, tearing or cracking may occur in the concrete.
  • The ground to be applied must be well compacted. For this, the ground should be compacted with rollers and occasionally moistened, repeating this process.
  • The product should be spread in a way that it does not segregate. Depending on the environmental and weather conditions, it should be passed over the concrete after it has hardened enough to leave a footprint of 0.5-1.5 cm deep.
  • In mechanical applications, after spreading 5 kg/m² of FLOORVOX 503 with an automatic spreader, it should be evenly distributed over the surface immediately.
  • The spread material should be expected to absorb the water in the concrete and become moist.
  • Color change can be observed when it reaches the adequate moisture level.
  • Careful and homogeneous distribution should be ensured without creating waves on the surface.
  • No water should be added to the surface where the surface hardener has been applied.

No content has been added for this section yet.

  1. Application should not be done in environments with excessive wind. Properties such as water and cement in the concrete may cause slight color differences.
  2. It is normal to observe color differences during the drying period. Proper timing and polishing techniques are essential.
  3. The ambient and ground temperature during application should be between 5-35 °C.
  4. In hot weather, care should be taken to avoid direct sunlight on the material.
  5. Surface blooming may occur under relative humidity conditions below 40%.
