Fiber & Calcium Aluminate Reinforced Repair Mortar (Surface/Structural)
- Packaging
- 25 kg kraft bag
- Application area
- For interior and exterior surfaces, aircraft hangars and mechanical workshops
- Consumption
- 4-5 kg/m²/ 3 mm application thickness
Polymer-reinforced, cement-based surface repair mortar. It is a practical surface repair mortar used for repairing cement-based, spalled, cracked, or worn-out surfaces and for correcting plaster defects. Used on non-structural surfaces.
Properties
- Sulfate & chloride resistant.
- Creates a smooth and solid surface.
- Resistant to freeze-thaw cycles.
- Applicable in thicknesses from 1 to 10 mm.
- Easy to apply.
- Thixotropic, polymer & fiber reinforced.
- For repair of structures requiring protection against seawater.
- High compressive strength.
- Water impermeability feature.
- Suitable for vertical and overhead applications.
- Does not cause corrosion.
Surface Preparation
- The hardness, water absorption, and soundness of the application surface should be checked in advance.
- If the surface has high water absorption, VOX Waterproofing additive should be used to eliminate water absorption.
- Voids and areas requiring repair on the surface should be repaired beforehand.
- Weak substrates such as cracked plasters or surfaces that cannot bear their own weight, as well as mortar and cement residues, should be scraped off.
- Surfaces must be free from dust, dirt, debris, formwork oil, etc.
Application
- The mortar is spread onto the surface with a steel trowel.
- If no plastering is to be done, after moistening the area to be repaired, apply the mortar in a single layer at 0.5 cm thickness.
- Wait approximately 3-4 hours between coats depending on ambient conditions, and if necessary, apply the second coat at the same thickness.
- The application thickness on the repair area should not exceed 1 cm.
- If the crack width is less than 2 mm, the mortar should be applied with a brush.
- The surface should be finished with a damp sponge.
Areas of Use
- On interior and exterior surfaces
- In closed parking garages and vertical ramps,
- Aircraft hangars and mechanical workshops
- For repairing plaster cracks and for renovation and refurbishment works in interior and exterior spaces.
- In large reinforced concrete structures such as bridges and dams.
4-7 liters of clean water is poured into the mixing container and the mortar is gradually added while mixing until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Use a low-speed mixer for mixing. Mixing at high speed prevents achieving a homogeneous consistency. After waiting 5 minutes for maturation, mix again for 1 minute and the mortar is ready for use.
- Avoid application below +5°C and above +35°C.
- After application, protect from direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (above +35°C), rain, and frost.
- Do not add powder to mortar whose pot life has expired.
- Mix the material only with a mixer with a maximum of 120 rpm.
- It is recommended to use rubber gloves during product application.
- Do not inhale the product directly. Use a dust mask if necessary.
- Keep products out of reach of children.
- Consult a doctor if necessary.
- R38 Irritating to skin.
- R41 Risk of serious eye damage. Contains Chromium VI. Allergic reaction may occur.
- R43 May cause sensitization by skin contact.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- S22 Do not breathe dust.
- S24/25 Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
- S26 In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
- S37/39 If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the container or label.
